Dangerous saw Michael Jackson go in a different direction. The strategy paid off as the 1991 album entered the Billboard 200 album chart at No. 1 and sold more than 25 million copies worldwide by September 1994. That number is now closer to 40 million copies worldwide. Featuring 14 songs, Dangerous contains a bevy of hit singles, including “Black or White,” “In the Closet,” “Remember the Time,” “Jam,” and “Heal the World.” The release of each of the album’s nine singles was accompanied by its own unique Michael Jackson short film, all of which were ultimately included on Dangerous: The Short Films, which was released in 1993.
