Furutech Evolution Speaker II High-Performance Speaker Cable

The Furutech Evolution Speaker II is a factory-terminated high-performance speaker cable engineered to preserve signal integrity between the amplifier and loudspeakers. Developed according to Furutech’s Pure Transmission philosophy, it combines carefully selected conductor materials, advanced Alpha treatment, low-capacitance insulation and precision-made connectors.

Supplied as a matched stereo pair, the Evolution Speaker II is available in 2-metre and 3-metre lengths with a choice of gold-plated spade or banana terminations.

Alpha-Treated μ-OFC Conductors

Each conductor is formed from six bundles of twenty fine μ-OFC copper strands. The strands are arranged around a central polyethylene core, creating a conductor with an overall diameter of 2.81 mm.

The conductors undergo Furutech’s proprietary Alpha Process, a two-stage treatment combining deep cryogenic processing and demagnetisation. This process is designed to improve the stability of the conductive material and minimise losses during signal transmission.

Low-Capacitance Polyethylene Insulation

The positive and negative conductors are individually insulated with a specially formulated polyethylene dielectric. Polyethylene provides favourable electrical properties for audio applications, helping reduce capacitance and preserve fine signal information.

The red and white insulated conductors are twisted together with cotton yarn. This internal structure helps maintain consistent conductor spacing while providing additional mechanical damping.

Vibration-Controlled Cable Construction

The Evolution II generation incorporates newly engineered anti-resonance cable clamps and a carefully developed outer construction intended to reduce the influence of mechanical vibration on signal transmission.

A flexible, RoHS-compliant dark-green PVC sheath protects the internal conductors, while the external nylon braid provides additional mechanical protection and gives the cable its distinctive Furutech appearance. The completed cable has an approximate outer diameter of 14.5 mm.

FP-218(G) Spade Termination

The spade-terminated version uses Furutech FP-218(G) connectors. Their conductive elements are manufactured from non-magnetic pure copper, treated with the Alpha Process and finished with 24-karat gold plating.

The substantial spade design provides a secure contact area for compatible amplifier and loudspeaker binding posts.

FP-202(G) Banana Termination

The banana-terminated version uses Furutech FP-202(G) connectors. Their conductive elements are manufactured from a non-magnetic eutectic cast copper alloy, treated with the Alpha Process and plated with 24-karat gold.

The locking banana design provides secure mechanical contact while allowing the cable to be connected and disconnected conveniently.

Designed for High-Resolution Audio Systems

Every part of the Evolution Speaker II — from the conductor geometry and dielectric materials to the cable clamps and terminations — is designed to maintain a clean and stable connection throughout the speaker-level signal path.

The cable is intended to support high levels of resolution, clarity and dynamic expression while maintaining a quiet background and natural tonal balance. It is suitable for high-quality integrated amplifiers, power amplifiers and passive loudspeakers used in dedicated stereo and premium home audio systems.
