Harley-Davidson Design with Genuine High-End Engineering

The Pro-Ject Harley-Davidson Turntable is a Limited Special Edition developed in official collaboration with Harley-Davidson. Rather than applying a logo to an existing record player, Pro-Ject shaped the complete chassis around the iconic Harley-Davidson Bar & Shield silhouette and combined the concept with substantial high-end turntable engineering.

Bar & Shield Alu-MDF Chassis

The main chassis uses a rigid aluminium-MDF sandwich construction designed for high internal damping and mechanical stability. The solid MDF structure contains no hollow cavities, helping suppress unwanted resonance, while polished aluminium surfaces give the turntable its distinctive industrial character.

2.75 kg Moving Drive Mass

A precision diamond-cut aluminium sub-platter, heavy 300 mm glass main platter and massive Harley-Davidson record puck create a total moving mass of 2.75 kg. The additional rotational mass helps maintain stable platter speed and contributes to consistent, accurate playback.

915 g Harley-Davidson Record Puck

The specially designed Harley-Davidson record puck weighs 915 g and presses the record firmly against the platter and leather mat. Its mass helps reduce record and platter resonances while improving mechanical coupling during playback.

Genuine Leather Record Mat

A genuine leather platter mat adds both mechanical damping and a tactile reference to classic Harley-Davidson motorcycle design. Together with the transparent glass platter, it allows the turntable’s distinctive chassis and precision-machined components to remain clearly visible.

Precision Belt Drive

The Harley-Davidson Turntable uses a belt-drive system with a top-selected AC synchronous motor manufactured in Europe. A precision DC/AC power generator supplies the motor with a stable, clean drive signal to minimise speed fluctuations and maintain consistent 33 or 45 rpm playback.

Electronic 33 / 45 rpm Speed Change

Playback speed can be switched electronically between 33 and 45 rpm using the integrated rocker switch, eliminating the need to move the drive belt manually.

8.6-Inch S-Shaped Aluminium Tonearm

The 8.6-inch S-shaped aluminium tonearm is hand-polished and uses a precision bearing system designed for low-friction movement. An SME-compatible headshell makes cartridge changes straightforward, while high-purity internal copper wiring and a TPE-damped counterweight support clean signal transmission and controlled resonance behaviour.

Adaptive Gravity-Based Anti-Skating

A gravity-based adaptive anti-skating mechanism changes the effective anti-skating force as the tonearm moves across the record surface, helping maintain consistent groove tracking throughout playback.

Pick it PRO Moving-Magnet Cartridge

A factory-mounted and pre-adjusted Pro-Ject Pick it PRO moving-magnet cartridge is included. Manufactured in Denmark, it provides a lively and dynamic presentation while the SME headshell also allows straightforward future cartridge upgrades.

5-Pin DIN Phono Connection

The tonearm terminates in a high-quality 5-pin DIN phono connector. A matching semi-symmetrical Connect it Phono E 5P/RCA cable is supplied, using copper conductors and low-capacitance construction specifically developed for low-level phono signals.

Damped Height-Adjustable Metal Feet

Three height-adjustable aluminium feet with damping allow precise levelling of the turntable while reducing the transmission of vibration and acoustic feedback from the supporting furniture.

Handmade in Europe

The Harley-Davidson Turntable is manufactured in Europe by Pro-Ject as a Limited Special Edition. Its combination of custom chassis design, substantial drive system and upgradeable analogue architecture makes it both a distinctive collector’s piece and a fully developed high-performance turntable.
