All-new Cerotar tweeter<\/h4>\n

Like the rest of the Evoke<\/strong> range, the tweeter is the brand-new Cerotar. It\u2019s based on key technologies from our award-winning Esotar Forty<\/strong> anniversary tweeter, and the mighty new Esotar3<\/strong>, which you\u2019ll find in the top-of-the-line Confidence series.<\/p>\n

Like all Dynaudio<\/strong> tweeters, it uses a precision-coated soft dome. This coating is applied in exactly the correct places and thicknesses to optimize high-frequency performance \u2013 it\u2019s a process derived from our most exclusive speakers.<\/p>\n

But that\u2019s where the similarity to everything except Confidence<\/strong> ends. Hidden behind the dome is a part called the Hexis: a special inner dome that shapes airflow to smooth-out the frequency response and eliminate unwanted resonances that would affect high-frequency performance.<\/p>\n

The Cerotar tweeter is powered by a new strontium carbonate Ferrite+ ceramic magnet for increased sensitivity, improved detail resolution and a natural, dynamic response.<\/p>\n

That\u2019s all a posh way of saying \u201ceven if you\u2019re watching one of those box-sets that lasts for nine hours, your ears won\u2019t get tired\u201d. Which, of course, is exactly as it should be.<\/p>\n

New woofer technology<\/h4>\n

Evoke 25C\u2019s<\/strong> twin 14cm Esotec+ mid\/bass drivers are made from MSP (Magnesium Silicate Polymer), a material we\u2019ve been using for our woofer diaphragms since the dawn of Dynaudio<\/strong>. It provides exactly the right combination of lightness, stiffness and damping to balance the needs of precise bass performance with clear, detailed midrange.<\/p>\n

Each speaker cone is crafted from a single piece of MSP. This makes them exactly the right amount of rigid \u2013 and means far less physical distortion when they\u2019re playing. It also gives a super-solid physical connection to the glass-fibre voice-coil former on the back (it\u2019s glued directly under the Balance Ribs you\u2019ll see around the center), which means more of the coil\u2019s motion energy is transferred to the diaphragm.<\/p>\n

The 38mm voice-coils themselves are made from aluminium, making them extremely light. That means we can use more windings. More windings gives us more control over the cone\u2019s movement, which means more control over the sound \u2013 even at high volumes and high frequencies. That\u2019s especially important in a center speaker, which predominantly deals with speech \u2013 its midrange performance has to be absolutely top-notch.<\/p>\n

The woofer motor is kept stable, centered and true by the Nomex spider (the circular spring assembly that stops the cone moving when it shouldn\u2019t, and lets it move when it should), while the new Contour<\/strong>-derived surround allows a longer throw ratio for greater punch. And, like the Cerotar tweeter, the woofers are both driven by ceramic Ferrite+ magnets for greater control, finesse and power.<\/p>\n

In non-speaker-designer language, that means \u201cyou\u2019ll hear your movie the way it was meant to be heard\u201d. No rough edges, nothing standing out where it shouldn\u2019t \u2013 and nothing relegated to a cameo when it should be the lead.<\/p>\n

Made for (home) movies<\/h4>\n

Our design department took drew inspiration from show-homes, home-interiors stores and real-life dwellings in Denmark to hone Evoke 25C\u2019s<\/strong> look. After all, it\u2019s as much a piece of furniture as the couch you sit on to watch your movies.<\/p>\n

That\u2019s why the four finishes are so relatable. You can choose from Black High Gloss and White High Gloss (which both use new lacquering techniques for a stunning glass-like surface), as well as the warm and organic open-veneered Walnut Wood and Blonde Wood styles.<\/p>\n

The cabinet is tapered and rounded in a nod to the Contour<\/strong> and Confidence<\/strong> ranges, while the mounting screws are hidden behind stylish one-piece trim rings. Like a great movie, a great design doesn\u2019t age. Evoke 25C<\/strong> will stay as timeless and thrilling as the classics you\u2019re playing through it.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
