Interconnect Cables
Interconnect cables link your source components, DACs, preamplifiers, integrated amplifiers and subwoofers, carrying low-level audio signals between devices. A well-chosen interconnect helps maintain clean signal transfer, stable channel balance and reliable everyday operation.
Choose RCA, XLR or subwoofer / LFE interconnects according to your system’s inputs and outputs. For a complete hi-fi cable setup, combine interconnects with suitable Speaker Cables and Power Cables.

How to Choose Interconnect Cables
Interconnect cables should match your components, connection type and system layout. Focus on correct connectors, sensible length and reliable shielding for clean signal transfer between your audio devices.
RCA interconnects are common in many stereo systems, while XLR cables are used with balanced connections. Subwoofer or LFE cables are usually RCA-type interconnects used between an amplifier, AV receiver, processor and active subwoofer.
Use the shortest practical length that allows comfortable placement of your equipment. Very long interconnects can make routing more difficult and may increase the risk of unwanted noise in some systems.
Low-level analog signals require stable connections and good noise control. This is especially important between turntables, phono stages, DACs, amplifiers and active subwoofers.
Keep interconnects away from power adapters and power cables where possible. Clean routing helps reduce noise and makes your system easier to maintain or upgrade later.
Different interconnects can suit different systems. Some emphasise openness and detail, while others may sound fuller or more relaxed. The best choice depends on your components and listening preferences.
A quality interconnect can remain useful through several component upgrades. If you plan to move towards balanced electronics later, consider whether XLR compatibility may become important in your system.
