The SDA-8300 is a versatile 8-channel Class D power amplifier designed to deliver maximum power while taking up minimal rack space. Each channel is rated to deliver 300W into 8 ohms and adjacent channel pairs can be bridged to deliver 600W into 8 ohms. This flexible channel configuration makes this an ideal amplifier to power LCR, surround, and height channel loudspeakers as well as in-wall subwoofers in JBL Synthesis immersive audio systems.
Overview
The SDA-8300 and SDA-4600 represent the next-generation of JBL Synthesis power amplifiers and offer significantly improved performance along with flexible networking capabilities in a JBL Synthesis custom-installation home theater system. Adding to their appeal, the new amplifiers sound better, offer exceptional energy efficiency and have space-saving form factors that allow greater placement and installation flexibility.
The new amplifiers are designed to work hand in hand with other JBL Synthesis electronics. Both models offer networked digital audio and control connectivity to JBL Synthesis surround sound preamplifiers, equalizers and other components via the amplifiers’ primary and secondary Ethernet transport ports. The SDA-8300 and SDA-4600 connect to a JBL Synthesis SDEC-4500 equalizer via an Ethernet cable.
In addition the amplifiers are just as happy to work as traditional analogue amplifiers having 8 analogue balance or single ended input on the SDA8300 and 4 on the SDA4600.
