The KEF R11 Meta<\/strong> floorstanding speakers are designed for natural and accurate sonic performance in high-performance home audio setups. MAT is an absorption solution which counters up to 99% of superfluous noise from the R11\u2019s<\/strong> drivers. Cabinet bracing and a flexible rear port-optimized with computational fluid dynamics \u2013 further contribute to the clarity of these speakers, ensuring no coloration effects detract from hearing sounds as they were intended.<\/p>\n Derived from\u00a0The Reference<\/strong>, Shadow Flare is an innovative way to cut harmful high frequency cabinet diffraction. It\u2019s a carefully profiled transition that extends the waveguide effect of Uni-Q\u00ae. The treble escapes naturally because the \u2018shadow region\u2019 stops it getting to the cabinet edges. The result is vastly improved fine detail.<\/p>\n A solid platform is imperative for great sound. The\u00a0R Series<\/strong>\u00a0benefits from constrained layer damping, a system that uses internal braces joined by a \u2018lossy\u2019 interface. This material converts unwanted vibration into heat, ensuring that the cabinet makes the only sound it needs to: the sound of silence.<\/p>\n R Series<\/strong>\u00a0bass drivers have a two-part structure with a shallow, concave, aluminium skin atop a paper cone.
