Dynaudio Confidence 20i<\/strong> is the compact standmount model in the new Confidence i reference series. It combines the latest Esotar 3i tweeter<\/strong>, Dynaudio Directivity Control 3.0<\/strong>, a new dedicated DDC Lens, an 18 cm NeoTec MSP woofer and a comprehensively upgraded crossover in a refined 2-way passive design.<\/p>\n

Confidence 20i is designed to bring the scale, precision and effortless musical presentation of Dynaudio\u2019s larger reference loudspeakers into a format suitable for smaller listening rooms \u2013 without treating compact dimensions as a limitation.<\/p>\n

Esotar 3i and DDC 3.0<\/h4>\n

The new 28 mm Esotar 3i soft-dome tweeter<\/strong> represents the latest development of Dynaudio\u2019s reference high-frequency driver. Improvements to its neodymium magnet system and motor design increase precision, detail retrieval and dynamic capability while retaining the smooth, natural character for which Esotar is known.<\/p>\n

Confidence 20i also receives a completely new DDC Lens<\/strong> as part of Dynaudio Directivity Control 3.0. The precisely shaped waveguide controls dispersion so that more direct sound reaches the listening position while unwanted interaction with the room is reduced. The result is a wider, deeper and more stable soundstage with exceptionally precise imaging.<\/p>\n

18 cm NeoTec MSP woofer<\/h4>\n

Bass and midrange are handled by a high-performance 18 cm NeoTec MSP driver<\/strong>. Its Magnesium Silicate Polymer diaphragm is combined with a rigid glass-fibre voice-coil former and a lightweight aluminium voice coil.<\/p>\n

The powerful neodymium motor system provides speed, control and dynamic headroom, allowing Confidence 20i to deliver authoritative bass and a clean, articulate midrange from a remarkably compact enclosure.<\/p>\n

Stand and bass system engineered as one<\/h4>\n

The dedicated stand is not simply a support for Confidence 20i \u2013 it forms an integral part of the loudspeaker\u2019s acoustic design.<\/p>\n

The bass-reflex port fires downwards towards the stand and then directs airflow sideways. This carefully controlled geometry provides powerful low-frequency performance while making the loudspeaker significantly more tolerant of room placement, including positions closer to a rear wall.<\/p>\n

Re-engineered crossover<\/h4>\n

Confidence 20i uses an upgraded 2-way crossover designed specifically around the Esotar 3i, NeoTec MSP driver and DDC 3.0 system.<\/p>\n
