Nordost Sort Lift is a cable support system from Nordost’s Sort Systems range, designed for high-performance audio systems where cable placement, resonance behaviour and floor contact are treated as part of the complete setup.

Many cable lifters are designed simply to raise cables off the floor. Sort Lift takes a more refined approach: it elevates the cable while using minimal points of contact between the cable and the support itself.

Nordost’s proprietary Floating Spring System uses titanium alloy and FEP coating, combined with an anodized aluminium base. This construction is designed to support the cable while reducing boundary effects, electrical interference and unwanted interaction between the cable and floor surface.

Sort Lift also helps inhibit the transfer of electrical charge and reduce static build-up in the cable dielectric. In a carefully set up system, this can support a cleaner and more stable cable environment.

Sort Lift can be used with speaker cables, power cables and signal cables where floor contact, cable routing or mechanical interaction may affect the system. It is especially relevant in systems where cable placement is already carefully planned and the listener wants to refine the final setup.

For best results, Sort Lift should be positioned so that cables are supported without excessive bending, twisting or mechanical tension. The number of supports required depends on cable length, cable weight, routing and room layout.

Nordost Sort Lift is supplied in packs of 2. In larger systems or longer cable runs, multiple packs may be required to support the cable path correctly.
