Nordost Heimdall 2 Tonearm Cable belongs to the Nordost Norse 2 series and is designed as a dedicated phono cable solution for high-quality vinyl playback systems.

A tonearm cable carries the very low-level signal from the cartridge to the phono stage. Because this signal is extremely delicate, the cable must provide effective shielding, low noise, stable grounding and precise signal transfer before the signal is amplified by the phono preamplifier.

Heimdall 2 follows Nordost’s design philosophy of speed, openness, low noise and precise system integration. It uses silver-plated solid-core OFC conductors, FEP insulation, individually shielded twisted pairs and Nordost’s Micro Mono-Filament technology to support fast, clean and stable signal transmission.

This tonearm cable also includes Nordost’s dedicated grounding solution, with shielded ground/bond wires designed to help reduce noise and improve system grounding in sensitive analogue setups.

The standard version is configured as a straight 5-pin DIN to RCA tonearm cable, suitable for many tonearms with a 5-pin DIN output and phono stages with RCA inputs. This is the default version supplied in the product variations.

Available lengths are 1.25 m, 1.75 m, 2.25 m, 2.75 m, 3.25 m, 3.75 m and 4.25 m.

Other terminations, including RCA, XLR and 90° DIN configurations, are available to order. If your tonearm or phono stage requires a different connector type, please contact us before ordering so we can confirm the correct configuration.

As part of the Norse 2 family, Heimdall 2 Tonearm Cable can be used as part of a coherent Nordost-based cable system together with matching analog interconnects, speaker cables, power cords, digital cables and network cables from the same range.
