Innuos Next-Gen NET Network Switch is a high-end audiophile network switch designed to complement Innuos ZEN Next-Gen and ZENith Next-Gen music servers. It brings a dedicated network foundation to systems where streaming quality, low noise and stable signal delivery are important parts of the listening experience.
Next-Gen NET takes inspiration from the flagship NazaréNET and adapts key ideas for the Next-Gen system platform. It is built around the latest generation WaveNET board with custom firmware, SFP fibre connectivity and ultra-low-noise operation for high-performance digital audio systems.
The switch provides 4 Gigabit Ethernet RJ45 ports and 1 SFP single-mode fibre port with a high-end Finisar SFP module. This allows both standard copper Ethernet and fibre network connections, giving the system builder flexibility when planning the network path for a serious streaming setup.
Power supply design is a central part of the Next-Gen NET. Innuos uses ARC6 power rectification, a 300VA transformer and 4 independent CX-regulated power rails for critical network sections. This approach is designed to lower electrical noise and provide a more stable operating environment for the network board and clocking circuitry.
The chassis is designed to keep sensitive components stable and undisturbed, while the internal architecture focuses on reducing the unwanted noise that can travel through the network into the digital audio system.
