Plinius Tiki Digital Network Player is a dedicated network audio player designed for music playback from digital libraries stored on a home network.
Tiki is built for listeners who want a Plinius digital source without relying on a general-purpose computer or basic streaming device in the listening room. It connects to the network via Ethernet and works with DLNA-compatible servers and control applications.
The player supports high-resolution digital audio with 24-bit / 192kHz DAC capability and popular file formats such as FLAC, LPCM, AIFF and MP3. This makes it suitable for locally stored music libraries and network-based digital playback systems.
Plinius designed Tiki around Ethernet connectivity rather than USB or S/PDIF input. This allows the music server or storage device to be located away from the listening position, while the network player remains inside the hi-fi system as the dedicated audio source.
For system connection, Tiki provides both RCA unbalanced and balanced XLR analogue outputs. This allows it to be used with integrated amplifiers, preamplifiers and more serious pre/power systems, including Plinius-based amplification setups.
