Roon at hifimarket — Now on Demo
Roon is now a permanent part of the hifimarket showroom. Our dedicated Roon Server runs on a Nucleus Rev B and is connected to the real systems we demonstrate every day, so Roon can be experienced as it is meant to be used — as part of a complete Hi-Fi system rather than as an isolated software demo.

Roon in a Real Hi-Fi System
Roon brings local music libraries and streaming services together in one interface, while controlling playback across compatible audio devices. Beyond browsing and recommendations, it also makes the digital signal path visible and provides tools for multi-room playback and MUSE signal processing. The real value becomes much easier to understand when you can use it with familiar music through a serious audio system.

Bring Your Own Music
During a showroom demonstration we can use Roon with different Roon-compatible streamers, DACs, integrated amplifiers and all-in-one systems. Bring a few albums or tracks you know well and we can show how Roon handles playback, device switching, Signal Path and system control in a real listening setup.
At the centre of our current setup is a Roon Nucleus Rev B — a dedicated, passively cooled Roon Server that runs continuously in the showroom. The server itself may change over time, but the idea will remain the same: Roon is now part of how we demonstrate and build modern digital Hi-Fi systems at hifimarket.

Roon Can Run on More Than a Nucleus
Roon itself is a software platform, while Nucleus is a purpose-built server designed specifically to run it quietly and reliably in a Hi-Fi system. A Nucleus is not required, however: Roon Server can also run on a suitable Windows, macOS or Linux computer, and a compatible NUC can be configured as a dedicated Roon server using ROCK. This makes it possible to start with hardware you may already own, while a dedicated server such as Nucleus remains an elegant option for a permanent, purpose-built Roon system.
Roon-Compatible devices at hifimarket
Our range already includes many Roon-compatible network players, DACs, streaming amplifiers and digital sources from brands such as Mola Mola, Hegel, Lumin, Eversolo, Bluesound, NAD, Naim and MOON. We can demonstrate Roon as part of a complete system and help determine where the server, streamer, DAC and amplification should sit in the digital chain.
