Lumin N1 Network Switch

Lumin N1 Network Switch is a 10-port audiophile-grade network switch designed for high-quality streaming audio systems. It is intended for systems where network stability, electrical isolation and low-noise digital infrastructure are important parts of the overall sound and reliability.

Unlike a standard IT network switch, the Lumin N1 is created specifically for audio use. It can serve as the central network point for Lumin network players, network transports, music servers and other digital audio components in a carefully built hi-fi system.

The N1 provides 4 fibre SFP ports and 6 copper RJ45 Ethernet ports, allowing both optical and copper network connections. Fibre networking can help provide galvanic isolation from the rest of the home network, while RJ45 ports keep the system flexible for components that use standard Ethernet connections.

Zero-configuration operation makes the N1 easy to integrate into an existing system. Its internal linear power supply, featuring an extra-large toroidal transformer, is designed to support low-noise operation without relying on a standard external switching adapter.

The 10M external clock input allows the N1 to be synchronised with Lumin U2X or a compatible external master clock. In more advanced digital systems, this gives the listener a path toward a more coherent timing foundation across the network switch, transport and connected digital components.

The Lumin N1 is especially suitable for customers who are building a complete Lumin-based digital front end, or for those who already use serious network players, transports or music servers and want to improve the quality of the surrounding network infrastructure.

For best results, the Lumin N1 can be matched with suitable network cables, fibre modules where appropriate, a dedicated music server or library, and a carefully selected network player or transport.
