Aurender N200 is a high-performance music server and streamer designed for listeners who want a dedicated digital source for use with an external DAC.
Unlike a general-purpose computer or simple network streamer, the N200 is built as a specialised music server. It manages local library playback, streaming services, caching and digital output in one purpose-built component, reducing unnecessary software complexity and helping the digital source behave more like a serious hi-fi component.
The N200 uses an Intel low-power quad-core processor, 8GB system memory and a dedicated 240GB NVMe SSD for system operation and playback caching. Music files are loaded to the cache before playback, allowing the installed storage drive to remain inactive during listening and helping to reduce noise and mechanical activity inside the unit.
For local library storage, the N200 provides two user-installable 2.5-inch drive bays for SSD or HDD storage. This gives the owner flexibility: the unit can be used as a streamer only, or expanded into a large internal music library server when required.
Digital output is focused and clean. The N200 provides a dedicated USB Audio Class 2.0 output for connection to asynchronous USB DACs, together with a coaxial SPDIF output for DACs that perform best through a traditional digital input. Network input is handled through a double-isolated Gigabit Ethernet connection, designed to reduce network-related noise before it reaches the audio circuitry.
Control is handled through the Aurender Conductor app, giving access to local library browsing, playback control and supported streaming services. The N200 is also part of Aurender’s Roon Ready digital-output range, making it suitable for users who prefer Roon-based library and streaming management.
The front panel includes a 6.9-inch wide IPS colour display, showing album artwork and playback information, while the machined aluminium chassis gives the unit the physical quality expected from Aurender.
The Aurender N200 is a strong choice for systems where a serious digital transport is needed, but where the full multi-chassis architecture of the N30SA or N50 is not required. It offers a clean and focused path into Aurender music server performance with excellent flexibility for both streaming and local file playback.
