This Clearaudio innovation transmits even tiny signals without any interference and remains absolutely unaffected by resonances. The Clarify tonearm uses magnetic bearings and is therefore completely frictionless.
Overview
The arm tube on the Clarify is made of carbon fiber reinforced aluminum, which in turn minimizes resonances and vibrations from occurring so that the sound image will be completely still and holographic. This helps to reproduce both micro and macro dynamics with convincing authenticity and instruments get their correct shape, just as you hear all the details in the sound image much more clearly. The counterweight is also designed in a way that its mass better aligns with the top of the turntable, which physically means that deflections and movements in the tonearm settle down much faster than with a conventionally designed tonearm. Clearaudio also uses their Direct Wire Plus technology on the Clarify tonearm, which ensures an uninterrupted connection of the cable all the way to the RIAA preamplifier.
The Clarify can be used with virtually all cartridges with a weight from 2.5 to 17 grams, but reaches its maximum performance potential and richest sound when combined with the Ovation turntable and a Clearaudio moving coil (MC) cartridge.
