The Final Ten

Dynaudio Evidence Platinum Collector’s Edition is the final production run of one of the most important loudspeakers in Dynaudio’s history. Only ten final pairs have been produced worldwide, giving collectors one last opportunity to own a brand-new Evidence Platinum.

One pair from this final production run is currently available from our distributor’s stock. Availability is therefore exceptionally limited and subject to prior sale.

Built by hand in Skanderborg, Denmark, these final loudspeakers follow the original Evidence Platinum engineering plans and use the same materials, construction methods and painstaking craftsmanship that established the model as one of Dynaudio’s reference designs. Many of the same specialists who worked on the original production run have returned to build the Collector’s Edition.

Each of the ten pairs is individually numbered on a special rear plaque and supplied with a letter signed by the people who built it.

Handcrafted in Denmark

Evidence Platinum Collector’s Edition is built with an extraordinary level of manual craftsmanship. Final assembly combines 405 individual parts across 16 separate stages for each loudspeaker.

The cabinet finishing process is equally intensive. Dynaudio applies up to 28 coats of clear primer followed by five coats of high-gloss lacquer, with repeated hardening, sanding and polishing stages carried out by experienced craftspeople.

At the front, the drive units are integrated into a massive 40 mm machined aluminium baffle, engineered to provide exceptional rigidity and resonance control.

Dynaudio Directivity Control

At the heart of Evidence Platinum is the original Dynaudio Directivity Control (DDC) system.

The symmetrical vertical driver array combines two 28 mm Esotar2 soft-dome tweeters, two dedicated 15 cm MSP midrange drivers and four 18 cm MSP woofers in each loudspeaker. Their carefully controlled frequency and phase relationships reduce unwanted floor and ceiling reflections and can reduce the room’s influence on the reproduced sound by up to 75%.

The result is exceptionally precise imaging, greater consistency across different listening environments and the effortless sense of scale for which the Evidence series became renowned.

Reference-level drive units and crossover

Two Esotar2 tweeters provide the high-frequency section, partnered by two dedicated 15 cm MSP midrange drivers and four 18 cm MSP bass drivers.

An elaborate first-order crossover is housed in its own thermally and mechanically isolated compartment. Carefully selected components, internal oxygen-free copper wiring and WBT NextGen™ binding posts complete the signal path.

The four parallel bass drivers provide the diaphragm area required for deep, authoritative low-frequency reproduction while benefiting from multiple individual voice-coil and magnet assemblies for exceptional control and dynamics.

A genuine collector’s loudspeaker

Evidence Platinum Collector’s Edition is not simply a commemorative version. It represents the final ten Evidence Platinum pairs ever produced.

Standing 1.94 metres tall and weighing approximately 110 kg per loudspeaker, it remains an uncompromising statement of Dynaudio’s approach to passive loudspeaker engineering – designed to reproduce music with minimal colouration, exceptional transparency and a vast, precisely defined three-dimensional soundstage.
