Description

Plinius Hiato Integrated Amplifier is a powerful integrated amplifier designed for listeners who want the authority of a serious pre/power system in a single, elegant component.

Hiato sits at the top of the Plinius integrated amplifier range and is built for systems where a standard integrated amplifier may not provide enough drive, scale or loudspeaker control. With 300W per channel into 8 ohms and 450W per channel into 4 ohms, it has the power reserve to work with large floorstanding loudspeakers and more demanding speaker loads.

The design combines a refined preamplifier section with a high-output stereo power amplifier, giving the listener the practical simplicity of one component while retaining the musical authority and system control associated with larger Plinius amplification.

Plinius Hiato is available either as a standard integrated amplifier or with an optional built-in phono module. The phono version is especially suitable for customers who want to build a serious vinyl-based system without adding a separate external phono preamplifier.

This makes Hiato a flexible centrepiece for different types of stereo systems. It can be used with a high-quality network player, DAC or CD source in its standard configuration, or ordered with the phono module for systems where a turntable is an important source.

Hiato is especially suitable for customers who want a clean, powerful and long-term stereo system without moving immediately to separate components such as the Plinius Reference M-10 and Reference A-300. It can become the central amplifier in a serious system built around digital sources, analogue sources or both.

The amplifier offers both balanced and unbalanced input options, making it suitable for modern source components as well as more traditional analogue systems. Its power and control make it a strong match for loudspeakers that need real current delivery and stability rather than only nominal wattage.

For many systems, the Plinius Hiato represents the most direct route to the Plinius sound: strong drive, natural tonal balance, dynamic authority and long-session musical involvement, without the space requirements and complexity of a separate preamplifier and power amplifier combination.

The Plinius Hiato is available in Silver and Black finish. It can be ordered as a standard version or with the optional phono module installed.

For best results, Hiato should be paired with carefully matched loudspeakers, high-quality source components, suitable interconnects, speaker cables and a stable power foundation.

Build a Serious Stereo System with Plinius

Plinius is especially interesting for listeners who want amplification with authority, musical flow and long-term ownership value. The Reference A-300 and Reference A-150 power amplifiers continue the Plinius tradition of high-current Class A / Class AB operation, while models such as Hiato, Hautonga, Kaitaki and Reference M-10 offer different ways to build a complete Plinius-based system. Beyond amplification, Plinius also covers important analogue and digital system roles, including phono stages for vinyl playback and source components for digital music. This makes the brand suitable not only for single-component upgrades, but also for building a complete, coherent stereo system around a clear sonic character.
