This special edition turntable to celebrate Elvis‘ 90th birthday is based on our acclaimed audiophile T2. The elegantly crafted CNC-machined plinth illuminates with LEDs the beautiful Elvislogo. The heavy 1,7 kg glass platter ensures a zero-resonance design that effectively eliminates the shortcomings associated with plastic or lightweight steel alternatives. Complementing these improvements, purpose-selected turntable feet effectively isolate the turntable from ambient vibrations present in the vicinity of your hi-fi system.
Speed Control, Motor and Drive
The motor drives a belt system, connected to our special ABS glass fiber composite sub-platter. This sub-platter is mounted on an ultra-precise 0.001mm main bearing with a hardened steel axle and brass bushing. Where most alternative products may use unregulated DC motors with wide speed fluctuations, the T2 features our proven system of an electronically regulated, precision-speed AC motor. The T2 also comes with electronic speed switching between 33 and 45 RPM. The result is a low-noise, stable drive system for the turntable.
The Tonearm
The Elvis turntable features a straight 9” one-piece aluminium tonearm combined with a low-friction bearing for absolute accuracy in use. Besides the clean and stylish looks, the integrated headshell won‘t cause any additional vibrations either, and is a big improvement over other detachable, screwed-on or glued-on headshells! It also comes with our adjustable spring-based anti-skating mechanism that optimizes performance and extracts the utmost potential from your cartridge.
Included Accessories
A super shielded, semi-symmetrical, low-capacitance phono cable, purpose-designed by Pro-Ject – not off the shelf RCA cable is included in the box. An acrylic dust cover is included as well to keep your turntable dust free when not playing vinyl’s. You will also find a felt mat in the box which is placed onto the platter to protect your records while playback.
