Pro-Ject The Classic Reference Turntable
4990,00 € – 5990,00 €Price range: 4990,00 € through 5990,00 €
The new The Classic Reference combines technical finesse and luxury design like no other turntable. It is based on the The Classic EVO and the experience we gained designing our iconic turntable for the Vienna Philharmonic Orchestra.
Sub Chassis Construction
The sub chassis isolates the platter and tonearm from the resonances of the motor and main plinth. The floating aluminium chassis sits on decoupling TPE damping balls.
High End Tonearm
The Classic Reference is equipped with our high end precision EVO 9 AS HG tonearm. It uses an inverted cardanic Swiss ABEC 7 quality bearing with 4 stainless steel tips. The bearing sits in a heavyweight aluminium housing, which provides the needed stability. The massive outer ring is open to avoid resonances. For the EVO AS tonearms, we use a special aluminium s-shape tube with the highest internal damping, paired with a SME-type headshell. The inner wiring is made of flexible high-purity copper which is an optimum conductor for the small phono signal.
True Balanced XLR output
The new The Classic Reference offers classic RCA and additional balanced XLR output sockets. The big advantage of a balanced connection is its ability to remove picked up noise and interferences.

Pro-Ject is a European vinyl specialist best known for turntables that deliver real musical engagement without overcomplication. The brand focuses on smart engineering, low noise, stable speed, and practical design choices that make vinyl easy to live with — whether you’re building a first serious setup or upgrading from an entry-level deck.
At Hi-Fi Market, we curate Pro-Ject with a clear focus on “serious starters and up”: the models that make sense for long-term ownership and audible upgrades. In practice, this means we typically start from the Debut level and move upward into more refined solutions — chosen for stability, tonearm quality, and overall system balance.
Hi-Fi Market is an authorised Pro-Ject dealer in Estonia, supplying genuine products with official warranty and local support. If you want to avoid mismatched combinations (turntable + cartridge + phono stage), we’ll help you build a coherent chain based on your system, music preferences, and budget.
Visit our showroom near Tallinn (Tabasalu) to discuss a Pro-Ject vinyl setup, compare sensible options, and get practical guidance on matching and setup.
Build a Vinyl System with Pro-Ject
Pro-Ject turntables work best as part of a complete analogue chain. Start with a Turntable, then match it with the right Cartridges & Styli and a suitable Phono Preamplifier so gain, loading, and tonal balance are correct for your system.
If you want a short shortlist, contact us — we’ll recommend a Pro-Ject-based setup that makes sense and leaves room for upgrades.
