Sonos Amp Multi 8-Channel Multi-Zone Streaming Amplifier
2999,00 €
The Sonos Amp Multi is a professional 8-channel multi-zone streaming amplifier delivering 125 watts per channel into 8 ohms with all channels driven. Designed for custom residential installations, it can power up to four independently configurable zones and features Class D amplification with GaN and PFFB technology, per-channel ProTune DSP, WiFi 6, Ethernet, Apple AirPlay 2, analogue inputs, subwoofer integration and a fanless 2U rack-mountable design.
Sonos Amp Multi Multi-Zone Streaming Amplifier
The Sonos Amp Multi is a professional multi-zone streaming amplifier designed for larger residential audio installations. Built specifically for custom integrators, it combines eight channels of amplification, four independently configurable audio zones, Sonos network streaming and powerful per-channel DSP in a compact rack-mountable design.
Eight Channels of Amplification
Amp Multi provides eight amplified speaker outputs, each delivering 125 watts into 8 ohms with all channels driven. Every output can be configured independently for stereo or mono operation, allowing the amplifier to support a wide variety of distributed-audio layouts from a single chassis.
The eight channels can be organised across as many as four separate Sonos zones. This allows different rooms or areas of a home to play independent music sources and operate at different volume levels while remaining part of the same Sonos ecosystem.
Flexible Four-Zone Configuration
Unlike a conventional fixed multi-channel amplifier, Amp Multi allows each output to be assigned to any available zone. This gives installers considerable freedom when configuring speaker layouts and makes it easier to adapt the system if room requirements change later.
A single amplifier can therefore replace several individual stereo amplifiers in installations covering bedrooms, living areas, kitchens, terraces or other independently controlled listening zones.
Class D Amplification with GaN Technology
The amplifier uses Class D circuitry with gallium nitride, or GaN, switching technology. GaN devices are capable of fast and efficient switching and allow Sonos to deliver substantial multi-channel power from a relatively compact chassis while maintaining efficient thermal operation.
Post-Filter Feedback
Post-Filter Feedback, or PFFB, monitors the amplifier signal after the output filter and applies corrective feedback to help maintain consistent response with different loudspeaker loads. This contributes to the amplifier’s low distortion, wide frequency response and high damping factor.
A damping factor greater than 400 gives Amp Multi strong electrical control over connected loudspeakers, while total harmonic distortion is specified at only 0.005% under the stated test conditions.
ProTune Per-Channel DSP
Sonos ProTune provides detailed DSP adjustment independently for every amplifier channel. Installers can configure a 10-band parametric equaliser with adjustable frequency, Q and gain, as well as gain trim, delay and high-pass filtering.
This makes it possible to compensate for different room acoustics, speaker placements and listening distances without requiring an additional external DSP processor.
Optimised for Sonos Architectural Speakers
When compatible Sonos Architectural speakers are selected in the Sonos app, Amp Multi can apply dedicated optimisation settings designed specifically for those loudspeakers. The system adjusts DSP parameters to provide a more consistent frequency response and stable operation.
Analogue and Network Sources
Two RCA analogue inputs allow a conventional stereo source to be connected directly to the amplifier. A USB-C analogue input is also available when used with the Sonos Line-In Adapter.
As part of the Sonos platform, Amp Multi can stream music directly over the network and supports Apple AirPlay 2, Spotify Direct Control and other services available through the Sonos ecosystem.
Subwoofer Integration
A dedicated RCA subwoofer output can be assigned to one of the amplifier’s zones. In addition, one Sonos Sub can be paired wirelessly with each zone, providing flexible low-frequency reinforcement across multi-room installations.
WiFi 6 and Ethernet
Network connectivity is provided through both Ethernet and WiFi 6. Wired 100Base-TX Ethernet is available for fixed professional installations, while wireless connectivity supports compatible 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz WiFi networks.
Fanless Professional Installation Design
Amp Multi uses passive thermal management without cooling fans, helping keep installations quiet while reducing moving parts. The amplifier can be installed independently or fitted into a standard equipment rack using its dedicated 2U rack-mount system.
Rear-panel channel status LEDs provide visual feedback during installation, while the compact chassis allows multiple Amp Multi units to be installed together when more than four zones are required.
Designed for Scalable Multi-Room Audio
With eight powerful amplifier channels, flexible four-zone assignment, integrated Sonos streaming and extensive DSP configuration, Sonos Amp Multi is designed as a scalable foundation for professionally installed distributed-audio systems. It combines the familiar Sonos user experience with the configuration flexibility and rack-friendly hardware required for larger residential projects.
