The Sonus Faber Olympica Center G3 is a three-way center channel loudspeaker designed to reproduce dialogue, vocals and cinematic sound with exceptional clarity, tonal accuracy and natural presence. Created as the central voice of an Olympica G3 home cinema system, it combines a dedicated Camelia midrange driver, two 165 mm woofers and Sonus Faber’s DAD™ Arrow Point silk-dome tweeter within an elegant horizontal cabinet.

The Olympica Center G3 shares the acoustic technologies, handcrafted materials and distinctive design language of the complete Olympica G3 collection. Its combination of natural wood, solid aluminium and leather allows it to integrate visually and sonically with the Olympica I G3, Olympica III G3, Olympica V G3 and Olympica Wall G3.

True Three-Way Center Channel Design

The Olympica Center G3 uses a true three-way configuration developed to provide clear dialogue, natural vocal tone and substantial dynamic impact across a wide seating area.

An 18 mm DAD™ Arrow Point extended-frequency silk-dome tweeter handles the high frequencies, a dedicated 101 mm Camelia paper-cone driver reproduces the critical midrange, and two 165 mm paper-cone woofers provide controlled bass extension and cinematic authority.

Crossover points at 600 Hz and 2900 Hz allow each driver section to operate within its optimal frequency range while maintaining a coherent and naturally balanced presentation.

DAD™ Arrow Point Silk-Dome Tweeter

The extended-frequency tweeter incorporates Sonus Faber’s DAD™ — Damped Apex Dome — technology. The Arrow Point element controls the central apex of the silk dome, reducing unwanted movement and improving high-frequency precision.

This design helps preserve subtle spatial information, fine transient detail and the natural texture of voices without introducing excessive brightness or listening fatigue.

Camelia Paper-Cone Midrange

The dedicated 101 mm Camelia midrange driver is based on technology originally developed for Sonus Faber’s flagship Suprema loudspeaker. Its distinctive non-circular paper diaphragm is inspired by the natural geometry of the camellia flower.

The irregular membrane shape helps control unwanted resonances while presenting the full radiating surface towards the listener. A copper cap contributes to stable driver behaviour, allowing dialogue, vocals and instruments to be reproduced with excellent transparency, articulation and tonal realism.

Dedicated Sealed Midrange Enclosure

The midrange driver operates within its own sealed acoustic enclosure. Isolating it from the internal pressure generated by the two woofers helps preserve clarity and prevents low-frequency energy from interfering with the reproduction of voices and instrumental detail.

This dedicated chamber is especially important in a center channel loudspeaker, where speech intelligibility and consistent tonal character are essential throughout films, television and multichannel music.

Twin 165 mm Paper-Cone Woofers

Two 165 mm paper-cone woofers provide the Olympica Center G3 with controlled bass response, dynamic scale and the ability to reproduce demanding cinematic passages without losing definition.

The vented woofer enclosure supports a frequency response extending down to 58 Hz, helping the speaker reproduce male voices, orchestral weight and front-channel effects with convincing body and authority.

Wide and Consistent Listening Area

The symmetrical horizontal driver arrangement is engineered to deliver clear and stable sound across multiple seating positions. Dialogue remains firmly anchored to the screen, while the tonal balance integrates naturally with the left and right Olympica G3 loudspeakers.

With a sensitivity of 90 dB and a recommended amplifier power range of 50 to 300 watts, the Olympica Center G3 can be used with premium AV receivers as well as separate surround processors and multichannel power amplifiers.

Lute-Shaped Cabinet

The horizontal cabinet follows Sonus Faber’s characteristic lute-inspired geometry. Its curved surfaces help reduce parallel internal walls and control standing waves that could otherwise colour the sound.

Handcrafted natural wood is combined with solid aluminium structural details and leather, creating a rigid enclosure with the refined appearance of Italian furniture.

45-Degree Herringbone Veneer

The cabinet features a full-surface herringbone veneer pattern inspired by the design language of the Sonus Faber Stradivari. The natural wood veneer is positioned at a 45-degree angle, creating visual continuity across the curved cabinet surfaces.

The Olympica Center G3 is available in Walnut Wood and Wenge Wood finishes, both complemented by solid aluminium elements and leather detailing.

Dedicated Center Channel Stand

A matching Olympica Center G3 Stand is available separately. Constructed from aluminium and equipped with stainless-steel spikes, it positions the speaker at an appropriate listening height while providing a stable and mechanically controlled foundation.
