Ray Charles – Ray Charles Mono Analogue Productions 45RPM 2LP

Ray Charles is the landmark 1957 debut album from one of the most influential figures in rhythm & blues, soul and popular music. Originally released by Atlantic Records, the album brings together early recordings that helped establish Charles’ unmistakable fusion of gospel, blues, jazz and R&B.

This audiophile edition is part of the Analogue Productions Atlantic 75 Series and presents the original mono recording across two 180 g vinyl records at 45 RPM. The album was mastered directly from the original master tape by Bernie Grundman and pressed at Quality Record Pressings (QRP).

The 45 RPM format gives the music additional groove space, allowing greater dynamics, clarity and transient detail. Combined with the original mono presentation, this edition delivers a focused, powerful and highly natural rendering of classics including Hallelujah I Love Her So, Ain’t That Love, Drown in My Own Tears, Mess Around and I Got a Woman.

The records are housed in a high-quality Stoughton Printing tip-on gatefold sleeve with film lamination, matching the premium presentation of the Atlantic 75 Series.
