Loewe Grand Inicio combines advanced acoustic engineering, exclusive German craftsmanship and a distinctive sculptural design. Created for demanding music systems and refined contemporary interiors, these passive floorstanding loudspeakers are individually manufactured and supplied as a perfectly matched stereo pair.
Handcrafted High-End Loudspeakers from Germany
Grand Inicio represents Loewe’s entry into the high-end passive loudspeaker market. Each pair is manufactured in Germany using carefully selected materials, precision-engineered components and construction techniques intended to provide both outstanding acoustic performance and a lasting visual presence.
Production is strictly limited to only 20 pairs, making Grand Inicio an unusually exclusive alternative to conventional series-produced high-end loudspeakers.
Two Purifi USHINDI Drivers per Speaker
Each Grand Inicio uses two 6.5-inch Purifi USHINDI drivers engineered for exceptionally low distortion and highly controlled movement. Purifi NeutralSurround technology helps maintain linear behaviour throughout the drivers’ excursion, while the PermanentCore motor design reduces unwanted distortion and preserves clarity during complex or demanding musical passages.
The two-driver arrangement provides greater scale, dynamic capability and low-frequency authority than the compact Inicio model, while retaining the speed and transparency associated with Purifi driver technology.
Phase-Neutral Air Motion Transformer
High frequencies are reproduced by a phase-neutral Air Motion Transformer tweeter driven by powerful neodymium magnets. Its lightweight folded diaphragm moves air rapidly and precisely, allowing voices, instruments and transient detail to be reproduced with excellent speed and definition.
A massive aluminium waveguide controls dispersion and supports smooth integration between the AMT tweeter and the two mid/bass drivers.
Powerful and Controlled Bass Performance
The large bass-reflex enclosure extends the specified frequency response down to approximately 35 Hz. This allows Grand Inicio to reproduce orchestral music, electronic bass and cinematic soundtracks with convincing weight and scale without sacrificing control or tonal definition.
A sensitivity of 89 dB makes the speakers suitable for a wide selection of high-quality integrated amplifiers and power amplifiers, while their 400-watt power handling provides generous dynamic headroom.
Flexible Bi-Wiring and Bi-Amping
Gold-plated speaker terminals accept banana plugs and support both bi-wiring and bi-amping. This provides additional flexibility when selecting amplification and allows the loudspeakers to be integrated into ambitious high-end stereo systems.
Massive Aluminium Base and Decoupling System
Each loudspeaker is supported by a substantial aluminium base incorporating a dedicated mechanical decoupling system. The supplied spikes and levelling components provide stable installation and help reduce the transfer of unwanted vibration between the cabinet and the floor.
Fractal Walnut and Titanium Design
The sculptural cabinet is finished with an expressive Fractal Walnut front and contrasting Titanium-coloured aluminium elements. A removable magnetic grille preserves the clean appearance of the cabinet without visible fixing points.
The result is a floorstanding loudspeaker designed not only as an audio component, but also as an architectural object that can become a defining element of the room.
