On a good hi-fi system, 18 should sound spacious, atmospheric and richly layered: vocals remain clearly focused while electronic textures, piano, strings, percussion and low-frequency elements create a wide and immersive soundstage. Tracks such as In This World, Extreme Ways and We Are All Made Of Stars combine strong rhythmic drive with the album’s characteristic cinematic depth.
