i/o is a studio album by British musician Peter Gabriel, released in 2023 after more than two decades without a new album of original material. The record combines art rock, progressive pop, electronic textures, orchestral arrangements and Gabriel’s characteristic interest in rhythm, atmosphere and sound design.

One of the defining ideas behind i/o is that every song was presented in multiple mixes. This vinyl edition contains the complete Bright-Side Mix, mixed by Mark “Spike” Stent. A separate Dark-Side Mix of the same album was created by Tchad Blake, allowing listeners to hear two distinct interpretations of the same performances and arrangements.

The 2LP tracklist includes Panopticom, Playing For Time, The Court, Four Kinds Of Horses, i/o, Love Can Heal, Road To Joy, So Much, Olive Tree, This Is Home, And Still and Live And Let Live.

This Bright-Side Mix 2LP vinyl edition was released by Virgin Music on 1 December 2023. Presented in a gatefold sleeve with obi strip, it offers Mark “Spike” Stent’s brighter and more open interpretation of the album and is especially interesting for Peter Gabriel fans, vinyl collectors and listeners interested in production, mixing and contemporary art-rock recordings.
