Plinius Reference M10 Preamplifier is the flagship preamplifier in the Plinius range, designed for reference-level stereo systems where source control, signal purity and system authority are essential.
The Reference M10 is a fully discrete dual-mono preamplifier developed from the ground up as a no-compromise control centre for serious hi-fi systems. It is built for listeners who want the refinement, transparency and musical authority of a dedicated high-end preamplifier rather than relying on a source component with volume control.
As the top Plinius preamplifier, Reference M10 is the natural partner for the Plinius Reference A300 power amplifier. Together they form the reference Plinius pre/power combination, giving the system a dedicated control stage and a flagship high-current power amplifier working as one coherent platform.
The dual-mono architecture helps keep the left and right channels properly separated, supporting stable imaging, low noise and precise system control. The fully discrete design reflects Plinius’ preference for carefully engineered analogue circuitry rather than integrated circuits in the signal path.
Reference M10 offers both balanced and unbalanced connection options, making it suitable for reference-level digital sources, DACs, network players, CD players and analogue components. It is designed to sit at the centre of a serious system and preserve the quality of the source before the signal reaches the power amplifier.
Compared with the Kaitaki, the Reference M10 is the more ambitious and purist Plinius preamplifier. Kaitaki is a practical and flexible route into separate Plinius pre/power amplification, while Reference M10 is intended for systems built around the very best Plinius electronics, especially the Reference A300.
For listeners building a long-term Plinius system, Reference M10 is the logical choice when the power amplifier, loudspeakers and source components are already at reference level. It is not simply a switching and volume-control component; it is the foundation that defines how the entire system is controlled and presented.
The Plinius Reference M10 is available in Silver and Black finish, allowing it to match the Reference A300, Reference A150 and other Plinius components.
For best results, Reference M10 should be paired with a reference-level power amplifier, carefully matched source components, high-quality interconnects and speaker cables, and loudspeakers capable of revealing the quality of the full system.

Build a Serious Stereo System with Plinius
Plinius is especially interesting for listeners who want amplification with authority, musical flow and long-term ownership value. The Reference A-300 and Reference A-150 power amplifiers continue the Plinius tradition of high-current Class A / Class AB operation, while models such as Hiato, Hautonga, Kaitaki and Reference M-10 offer different ways to build a complete Plinius-based system. Beyond amplification, Plinius also covers important analogue and digital system roles, including phono stages for vinyl playback and source components for digital music. This makes the brand suitable not only for single-component upgrades, but also for building a complete, coherent stereo system around a clear sonic character.Recommended categories for building a Plinius-based system:- Integrated Amplifiers - Power Amplifiers - Preamplifiers - Phono Preamps - Network Players & Streamers - CD Players & Transports - Audio CablesTo discuss the right Plinius solution for your system, contact us. We can help you choose between an integrated amplifier, pre/power system, phono stage or source component based on your loudspeakers, room and listening priorities.
