Pornography is the fourth studio album by The Cure, originally released in 1982.
The album is one of the band’s darkest and most intense records, closing the early trilogy that also includes Seventeen Seconds and Faith. With tracks such as One Hundred Years, A Short Term Effect, The Hanging Garden, Siamese Twins, The Figurehead and A Strange Day, the album helped define The Cure’s early gothic rock and post-punk identity.
This Picture Disc LP was released by Polydor as a limited Record Store Day 2022 edition for the album’s 40th anniversary. It presents Pornography in a collector-focused visual format while preserving the album’s bleak atmosphere, heavy rhythm section and stark production style.
