Arcam AVA15 Multi-Channel AV Amplifier

The Arcam AVA15 is a high-performance multi-channel AV amplifier designed to combine immersive home cinema with the musical performance expected from a dedicated hi-fi system. Part of Arcam’s Radia AV series, it brings together nine channels of powerful Class D amplification, advanced surround processing, Dirac Live room correction and extensive music streaming in a single component.

Nine Channels of Class D Amplification

The AVA15 incorporates nine channels of Arcam Class D amplification, making it suitable for immersive configurations including 7.1.2 and 5.1.4 without requiring additional power amplifiers. It delivers 85 watts per channel into 8 ohms with two channels driven across the full 20 Hz–20 kHz audio range, with considerably more power available into lower impedances.

With processing for up to 12 channels and a complete set of 12 RCA preamplifier outputs, the AVA15 can also form the foundation of a larger home cinema system. External power amplifiers can be added for additional channels or to drive selected loudspeakers independently.

Dolby Atmos and DTS:X Immersive Audio

Advanced surround processing supports Dolby Atmos and DTS:X alongside Dolby TrueHD, Dolby Surround, DTS-HD Master Audio, DTS Neural:X and additional processing modes. Height speakers can therefore be integrated into the system to create a three-dimensional sound field with effects positioned above as well as around the listening area.

Dirac Live Room Correction

Dirac Live Room Correction is included to optimise the interaction between the loudspeakers and the listening room. Using the supplied measurement microphone, the system analyses acoustic behaviour at the listening position and applies correction to improve tonal balance, timing and overall integration.

For more advanced installations, the AVA15 can be upgraded with Dirac Live Bass Control and Dirac Live Active Room Treatment, providing additional control over multiple subwoofers and the acoustic interaction between speakers and the room.

8K HDMI Connectivity

Seven HDMI inputs and two HDMI outputs provide extensive connectivity for modern video sources. HDMI 2.1a support enables video resolutions up to 8K at 60 Hz or 4K at 120 Hz, while compatibility with HDR, HDR10, HDR10+, Dolby Vision and HLG makes the AVA15 suitable for premium television and projector-based cinema systems.

Gaming-oriented HDMI features include Variable Refresh Rate and Auto Low Latency Mode. The primary HDMI output also supports eARC, allowing high-quality audio to be returned directly from a compatible television.

Built-In High-Resolution Music Streaming

The AVA15 is also designed as a comprehensive network music player. Spotify Connect, TIDAL Connect and Qobuz Connect allow direct playback from popular streaming services, while Apple AirPlay, Google Cast, Internet Radio, podcasts and UPnP provide additional ways to access music.

Support for high-resolution audio extends up to 24-bit/192 kHz, and Roon Ready certification allows the AVA15 to operate directly as an endpoint within a Roon-based music system.

Advanced Wireless Connectivity

Bluetooth 5.4 adds both receiving and transmitting capabilities and supports Snapdragon Sound, LE Audio and Auracast. Dual-band Wi-Fi provides network connectivity for streaming, control and system integration.

Radia AV Control and 6.5-Inch Display

A large 6.5-inch high-resolution colour display provides clearly visible system information and music metadata from across the room. Setup and everyday operation can also be handled through the Arcam Radia AV Control app, which provides access to system configuration, presets, streaming, Internet Radio and podcasts.

A backlit Bluetooth remote control is supplied for conventional operation and remains usable without requiring direct line of sight to the amplifier.

A Flexible Foundation for Home Cinema and Music

With powerful nine-channel amplification, expandable 12-channel processing, advanced room correction, current-generation HDMI connectivity and extensive music streaming, the Arcam AVA15 is designed for systems where both cinema and stereo performance matter. It can operate as a complete 5.1.4 or 7.1.2 solution on its own while retaining the flexibility to grow into a more ambitious multi-channel installation later.
