Description

Aurender A15 Signature Analog Music Server

The Aurender A15 is a high-performance analog music server designed to combine network streaming, local music storage, digital-to-analog conversion and volume control in one refined digital source component. With balanced XLR and unbalanced RCA analog outputs, it can be connected to a preamplifier or integrated amplifier, while its variable output also enables direct connection to a power amplifier.

As the successor to the Aurender A10, the A15 introduces an updated server platform, a dual-mono DAC architecture, expandable internal storage and improved digital connectivity. It provides a practical one-box solution for listeners replacing a conventional CD player, computer-based audio system or separate streamer and DAC combination.

Dual-Mono AKM Digital-to-Analog Conversion

The A15 uses two AKM AK4490 digital-to-analog converters in a dual-mono configuration, providing an independent conversion path for each audio channel. This architecture supports precise channel separation and a smooth, detailed presentation without the complexity of an external DAC.

The internal DAC supports PCM playback up to 32-bit/768kHz and native DSD up to DSD512. An onboard MQA Full Decoder is also included for compatible MQA files and streams.

Linear Power Supply with Four Toroidal Transformers

A fully linear power supply is built around four audiophile-grade toroidal transformers. Separate power sections serve the processor, left and right DAC channels and FPGA circuitry, while internal shielding and isolation help prevent electrical noise from entering the sensitive audio signal path.

A supercapacitor-based uninterruptible power supply protects the operating system and internal storage if mains power is unexpectedly interrupted, allowing the A15 to shut down safely.

FPGA-Based Precision Clocking

The digital audio section is controlled by an FPGA-based precision clock system with a clock generator specified at below 100 femtoseconds. Accurate timing reduces jitter during digital audio transmission and helps preserve musical detail, spatial information and signal integrity.

Expandable Internal Music Storage

Two rear-panel storage bays accept user-installable 2.5-inch HDD or SSD drives. The owner can install one or two drives according to the required library capacity, including configurations with up to two 8TB SSDs, or leave the bays empty when streaming is the primary source.

A separate 240GB NVMe solid-state drive is dedicated to the operating system and playback cache. Selected music is cached to solid-state memory before playback, reducing storage-drive activity and creating a more stable environment for audio processing.

Music stored on a NAS, external USB hard drive or USB memory device can also be played or imported through the network connection and two rear-panel USB 3.0 data ports.

Balanced and Unbalanced Analog Outputs

The A15 provides balanced XLR and unbalanced RCA analog outputs for broad compatibility with high-end audio systems. Output level can be controlled through the DAC-level lossless volume system, allowing the A15 to function as both a digital source and a preamplifier for direct connection to a power amplifier.

Digital Inputs for External Sources

One optical Toslink input and two RCA coaxial digital inputs allow external components to use the A15’s internal DAC. A compatible CD transport, television or other digital source can therefore be integrated into the same audio system without requiring a separate converter.

Dedicated Isolated USB Audio Output

A dedicated USB Audio output allows the A15 to operate as a music server and digital transport with an external USB DAC. The connection is physically and electrically isolated from the processor section to reduce the transfer of unwanted electrical noise.

The USB output supports PCM up to 32-bit/768kHz, native DSD up to DSD512 and DSD256 using DoP.

Aurender Conductor and Integrated Streaming

Music selection, library navigation and system control are handled through the Aurender Conductor application for compatible mobile devices. The interface combines locally stored music, network libraries and integrated access to TIDAL, Qobuz and Internet Radio, together with Spotify Connect and AirPlay support.

The Aurender A15 is also Roon Ready and can operate as a certified analog or USB audio endpoint within a compatible Roon system.

Critical Listening Mode

Critical Listening Mode disables the front-panel display, control buttons and non-essential background processes during playback. This reduces unnecessary system activity and creates a quieter operating environment for focused music listening.

Wide Colour Display and Machined Aluminium Chassis

The front panel features a 6.9-inch wide IPS colour display with a resolution of 1280 × 480 pixels. It presents album artwork, artist information and track details while music is playing.

The electronics are housed in a rigid machined aluminium chassis designed to provide mechanical stability and shielding. Available in black and silver finishes, the Aurender A15 offers a complete high-end digital source for streaming, locally stored music and external digital components.

About Aurender
Aurender is a specialist digital audio brand focused on dedicated music servers, streamers and network players for serious hi-fi systems. Instead of using a general-purpose computer as the digital source, Aurender designs purpose-built components with dedicated hardware, internal storage or caching, carefully controlled digital outputs and its own Conductor control platform. Aurender is especially interesting for listeners who want a stable, elegant and musically convincing digital front end for local music libraries, streaming services and external DAC-based systems. The range includes digital-output music servers, network players with built-in DACs, CD-ripping server solutions and network audio components for more ambitious streaming systems. Hi-Fi Market offers Aurender products in Estonia with local advice, official supply channels and professional system matching. Visit our showroom in Tabasalu near Tallinn to discuss which Aurender model is the best match for your DAC, amplifier, loudspeakers, music library and future upgrade plans.

Build a Digital Source System with Aurender

Aurender is designed for customers who treat the digital source as a serious hi-fi component. A well-chosen music server or network player can become the foundation of the whole system, especially when it is paired with a high-quality DAC, suitable digital cables, stable network infrastructure and carefully matched amplification. For systems with an external DAC, Aurender music servers and digital-output streamers are a strong choice. For customers who prefer a simpler one-box digital source, Aurender also offers models with built-in DAC sections and analogue outputs. This makes the brand suitable both for compact systems and for reference-level digital front ends.
