Aurender A1000 Essential Analog Music Server

The Aurender A1000 is a versatile analog music server that combines network streaming, local music storage, digital-to-analog conversion and volume control in one compact source component. Designed as an accessible entry into the Aurender ecosystem, it offers flexible digital and analog connectivity for both traditional stereo systems and modern entertainment setups.

With variable and fixed RCA analog outputs, the A1000 can be connected to a preamplifier or integrated amplifier, or used directly with a power amplifier. HDMI ARC, USB, coaxial and optical connections allow televisions, digital sources and external DACs to be integrated into the same system, while Bluetooth aptX-HD and Google Cast Audio provide convenient wireless playback.

Dual-Mono AKM Digital-to-Analog Conversion

The A1000 features an AKM AK4490REQ dual-mono digital-to-analog conversion architecture. Its analog output stage supports PCM playback up to 32-bit/384kHz and native DSD up to DSD512, providing high-resolution playback through the single-ended RCA outputs.

A low-jitter TCXO clock regulates digital audio timing, helping maintain signal accuracy throughout the conversion process.

Variable and Fixed RCA Analog Outputs

The premium single-ended RCA outputs can operate at either variable or fixed level. Aurender’s DAC-level lossless volume control allows the A1000 to function as a digital preamplifier and connect directly to a compatible power amplifier.

When used with a dedicated preamplifier or integrated amplifier, volume control can be disabled through the Aurender Conductor application, converting the A1000 into a fixed-output source component.

HDMI ARC for Television Integration

An HDMI ARC input makes it easy to incorporate the A1000 into a television or home entertainment system. Sound from compatible television applications and connected video sources can be reproduced through the A1000’s internal DAC and the main stereo system.

HDMI CEC support also allows compatible television controls to adjust the A1000’s volume and coordinate power operation.

Digital Inputs for External Sources

Coaxial RCA, optical Toslink and USB Type-B digital inputs allow compatible external components to use the A1000’s internal DAC. These connections can accommodate sources such as a CD transport, computer, television or other digital audio component.

A 12V trigger connection is also provided for coordinating power operation with compatible external equipment.

Coaxial and USB Digital Outputs

The A1000 can continue serving as a network music server and streamer when used with an external DAC. Its digital outputs include coaxial RCA and USB Audio, providing a clear upgrade path as the rest of the audio system develops.

The USB Audio output supports PCM up to 32-bit/768kHz, native DSD up to DSD512 and DSD256 through DoP.

User-Installable Music Storage

One internal 2.5-inch storage slot accepts a user-installable HDD or SSD. An SSD with a capacity of up to 8TB can be installed for a locally stored digital music collection, while listeners who rely primarily on streaming services can leave the storage compartment empty.

The operating system is installed on dedicated 32GB eMMC storage, while a separate 120GB NVMe solid-state drive is reserved for the playback cache. External storage can also be connected through the rear-panel USB data port.

Linear Power Supply and Modern Processing Platform

A full linear toroidal power supply provides low-noise power for the A1000’s audio and processing circuitry. The server platform is built around a quad-core 2.0GHz ARM Cortex-A55 processor with 4GB of system memory, providing responsive control and support for its expanded range of streaming and connectivity functions.

Google Cast Audio and Bluetooth aptX-HD

Google Cast Audio allows music to be sent directly from compatible applications and mobile devices. Supported services include Qobuz, YouTube, Deezer and other Cast-enabled platforms, with playback resolution of up to 24-bit/96kHz.

Bluetooth with aptX-HD offers an additional convenient way to play audio from compatible smartphones, tablets and computers without opening the Aurender Conductor application.

Aurender Conductor and Streaming Services

The Aurender Conductor application provides control over music playback, locally stored libraries, connected storage and supported online services. The A1000 also supports TIDAL Connect, Spotify Connect and AirPlay, allowing playback to be started directly from compatible applications.

The Aurender A1000 is Roon Ready and can operate as a certified endpoint using its analog, coaxial or USB output within a compatible Roon system.

Colour Display and Bluetooth Remote Control

The front panel features a 6.9-inch wide IPS colour display with a resolution of 1280 × 480 pixels. Album artwork, playback information and system menus are presented through a clear visual interface.

A full-featured Bluetooth LE remote control is included for convenient access to playback, input selection and volume functions. The front panel also provides dedicated controls and a rotary volume dial for direct operation without a mobile device.

Compact Machined Aluminium Chassis

The A1000 is housed in a rigid machined aluminium chassis that measures only 13.8 inches wide, making it suitable for systems where space is limited. Available in black and silver finishes, it combines Aurender’s dedicated music server platform with an integrated DAC, broad connectivity and straightforward everyday operation.
