Plinius Reference A-150 Power Amplifier is a high-current stereo / mono power amplifier designed for serious hi-fi systems where musical authority, speaker control and long-term ownership value are essential.
The Reference A-150 continues the Plinius tradition established by the SA series, combining powerful output, refined circuit design and the ability to operate in Class A or Class AB. This gives the listener a choice between maximum musical purity and lower idle power consumption depending on system needs and listening conditions.
In stereo operation, the Reference A-150 delivers 150W continuous average power per channel into 8 ohms and 250W per channel into 4 ohms. In mono operation, it can deliver 450W into 8 ohms and 600W into 4 ohms, making it suitable for demanding loudspeakers and larger listening rooms.
The amplifier offers both RCA and balanced XLR inputs, allowing it to be integrated with Plinius preamplifiers such as the Reference M-10 or Kaitaki, as well as other high-quality preamplifiers and source components. Its stereo / mono flexibility also makes it possible to start with one amplifier and later move toward a dual-mono system architecture.
The Reference A-150 is especially interesting for listeners who want a serious high-current amplifier with Class A / Class AB operation, but without moving into the very largest and most expensive power amplifier category. It brings much of the classic Plinius appeal — current delivery, natural tonal balance, dynamic authority and long-session musical involvement — into a more practical reference-level format.
The Plinius Reference A-150 is available in Silver and Black finish, allowing it to match different system aesthetics and other Plinius components.
