Description

AWOL LuxVision – Flagship 4K 120Hz Ultra Short Throw RGB Laser Projector

The AWOL LuxVision represents a major step forward in premium ultra-short-throw projection. Designed for large-screen home cinema, premium living spaces and high-performance gaming, LuxVision combines 4K resolution at up to 120Hz, extraordinary 6000 ISO lumen brightness, RGB triple-laser technology, true optical image adjustment and a completely new premium industrial design.

Rather than simply increasing brightness or adding more processing, AWOL has redesigned the complete UST concept around image quality, installation flexibility and integration into modern interiors.

4K at 120Hz

LuxVision supports 4K resolution at up to 120Hz, allowing fast-moving material to retain substantially greater clarity and fluidity than conventional 60Hz projection.

For 24 fps film material, 120Hz enables an even 5:5 cadence, with every original movie frame displayed for the same amount of time. This avoids the uneven 3:2 pulldown traditionally associated with displaying 24 fps cinema on a 60Hz display.

The higher refresh rate also makes LuxVision particularly well suited to sport and gaming, where rapid movement, camera pans and fine detail benefit from improved motion reproduction.

6000 ISO Lumens RGB Triple Laser

At the heart of LuxVision is an RGB triple-laser light source producing up to 6000 ISO lumens.

This extremely high light output gives LuxVision the capability to illuminate very large screens while retaining strong image impact in rooms where some ambient light may be present.

The RGB laser system covers up to 110% of the Rec.2020 colour space, providing an exceptionally wide colour gamut for modern HDR material.

10,000:1 Native Contrast and 7-Level Dynamic Iris

LuxVision is specified with an impressive 10,000:1 native contrast ratio, supported by a 7-level Dynamic Iris system.

AWOL has also introduced a blackened iris blade and barrel design intended to suppress unwanted internal reflections, improving perceived black level, shadow detail and image depth.

The company’s EBL™ Enhanced Black Level processing dynamically optimises darker scenes in real time, helping reveal additional shadow information while maintaining stable image reproduction.

Vertical Optical Lens Shift

One of the most significant innovations in LuxVision is its true vertical optical lens shift.

The projected image can be moved vertically within a 142–152% offset range without relying solely on digital keystone correction, cropping or image scaling. This preserves image detail while giving considerably greater freedom when matching the projector to an existing screen, furniture layout or room geometry.

For an ultra-short-throw projector, this is an especially valuable installation feature because small changes in projector position can otherwise result in comparatively large changes in image placement.

0.18:1 Ultra Short Throw Ratio

With an exceptionally short 0.18:1 throw ratio, LuxVision can create a very large image while remaining close to the projection surface.

It supports projected image sizes of up to approximately 200 inches, depending on the installation and screen configuration.

Automatic screen alignment further simplifies the initial setup process, while the optical shift system provides additional fine adjustment without sacrificing image detail.

Dolby Vision, IMAX Enhanced and Dynamic Tone Mapping

LuxVision supports a comprehensive range of premium cinema technologies, including:

  • Dolby Vision
  • Dynamic Tone Mapping
  • IMAX Enhanced
  • Filmmaker Mode
  • 3D playback

Dynamic Tone Mapping continuously adjusts HDR reproduction to preserve highlight and shadow information across demanding scenes, while Dolby Vision and IMAX Enhanced provide support for premium mastered content.

Anti-RBE Technology II

LuxVision introduces AWOL’s second-generation Anti-RBE Technology II, developed specifically to reduce visible rainbow artefacts associated with single-chip DLP projection.

The technology operates across both 2D and 3D content and is particularly relevant in fast-moving, high-contrast scenes where rainbow artefacts may otherwise be most noticeable to sensitive viewers.

High-Performance Gaming

LuxVision is also designed as a serious large-format gaming display.

Gaming features include 4K at 120Hz, VRR, ALLM, Dolby Vision Gaming and manufacturer-specified input latency as low as 1 ms in supported operating modes.

Three HDMI 2.1 inputs and a DisplayPort connection provide flexible connectivity for modern gaming consoles, PCs and AV systems.

4-Channel HDMI Multiview

LuxVision also supports 4-channel HDMI Multiview, allowing multiple video sources to be displayed simultaneously on the same large projection surface.

This can be particularly useful for sport, gaming and multi-source entertainment installations.

A Completely New Design Direction

LuxVision introduces a dramatically different industrial design from previous AWOL ultra-short-throw projectors.

Inspired by the architectural rhythm and proportions of the Parthenon, the low-profile chassis uses a restrained, sculptural form designed to integrate naturally into premium living rooms, media rooms and dedicated home cinemas.

AWOL also offers configurable CMF – Colour, Material and Finish options, allowing the exterior appearance of LuxVision to complement different interior styles and furniture finishes.

About AWOL Vision
AWOL Vision is a home entertainment brand specialising in large-screen 4K laser projection. Its product ecosystem includes ultra-short-throw projectors for modern living spaces, long-throw home cinema projectors, projection screens and accessories designed to create an immersive alternative to a conventional television. Valerion is AWOL Vision’s premium sub-brand for long-throw projectors. To keep the relationship between the two product families clear, Hi-Fi Market presents both AWOL Vision and Valerion products together under the AWOL Vision brand rather than treating them as two unrelated manufacturers. Visit the Hi-Fi Market showroom in Tabasalu, near Tallinn, for personal consultation and help with choosing a projector, suitable screen size, installation method and complete home cinema system. We can also help match the projector with the right AV receiver, loudspeakers, subwoofer and cabling for your room. AWOL Vision and Valerion: Big-Screen Cinema for Every Room AWOL Vision’s ultra-short-throw projectors are designed to produce a large cinematic image while standing close to the projection screen. This makes them particularly suitable for living rooms and multifunctional spaces where a traditional ceiling-mounted projector would be inconvenient. Combined with a correctly selected UST or ambient-light-rejecting screen, an AWOL Vision projector can form the visual centre of a clean and practical home entertainment system. Valerion expands the AWOL Vision ecosystem with premium long-throw projectors intended for more flexible placement, dedicated home cinemas and design-focused media rooms. Although Valerion has its own product identity, it remains part of the AWOL Vision family. Customers can therefore compare AWOL Vision ultra-short-throw solutions and Valerion long-throw models as two complementary approaches to large-screen home entertainment.
