Aurender N50 is a reference-level music server and streamer created for high-end systems where digital source quality is treated as seriously as amplification, loudspeakers and room acoustics.
Unlike a conventional one-box streamer, the N50 uses a three-chassis architecture. The server section, audio output section and power supply section are separated into dedicated machined aluminium chassis. This approach is designed to reduce electrical noise, isolate sensitive digital audio circuitry and give the system a cleaner, more stable foundation.
The server unit handles the music library, streaming services, processing and user interface. It uses an Intel Quad Core processor, 8GB RAM and a dedicated 480GB NVMe SSD for system and cache operation. Two user-installable 2.5-inch storage bays allow local music storage to be added if required.
The audio output section is dedicated to delivering a high-quality digital signal to an external DAC. The N50 provides a wide range of digital outputs, including galvanically isolated USB Audio, dual AES/EBU, BNC coaxial SPDIF, RCA coaxial SPDIF, optical TosLink and an I2S module slot. This makes it suitable for use with a wide range of serious DACs, including systems where dual AES or specialised I2S connectivity is required.
Network performance is also a central part of the design. The N50 includes a 7-fold galvanically isolated Gigabit LAN module, helping to reduce network-related noise before it enters the digital audio chain. Playback and library control are handled through the Aurender Conductor app, with support for major streaming services and Roon Ready operation.
The separate power supply chassis uses dedicated power architecture for the server and digital output sections, including high-quality toroidal transformers.
