9-драйверная трибридная архитектура

В каждом наушнике CLARUS установлено девять драйверов: один фирменный 9-мм динамический драйвер, семь арматурных излучателей Sonion и один кремниевый MEMS-твитер. Three Coordinated Acoustic Systems

The low-frequency section combines the proprietary 9 mm dynamic driver with two Sonion balanced armatures. The dynamic driver covers the deepest bass region, while the balanced armatures reinforce speed, articulation and definition through the upper bass and lower midrange.

The central midrange is handled by three Sonion balanced armatures. This dedicated array is tuned to preserve vocal body, instrumental separation and tonal continuity through the most information-rich part of the audible spectrum.

At high frequencies, a silicon MEMS tweeter works together with two Sonion high-frequency balanced armatures. The MEMS transducer contributes exceptional speed and phase stability, while the balanced armatures extend output, air and spatial information through the upper registers.

Proprietary Six-Way Crossover

Astell&Kern developed a six-way crossover network specifically for the complete nine-driver system. Each acoustic path is independently filtered to control phase, timing and interaction between the dynamic driver, balanced armatures and MEMS tweeter.

The objective is not simply to combine multiple driver technologies, but to make all nine drivers behave as a coherent acoustic system with smooth transitions between frequency ranges.

Silicon MEMS Tweeter

The high-frequency section uses a top-firing silicon MEMS tweeter operating together with dedicated Sonion balanced armatures. Its monolithic silicon construction offers extremely fast mechanical response and consistent behaviour, helping CLARUS reproduce fine high-frequency detail with precision and stability.

CNC-Machined 6061-T6 Aluminium Housing

The CLARUS housings are precision-machined from aerospace-grade 6061-T6 aluminium and finished in anodized silver. The rigid enclosure is designed to control unwanted resonance while remaining relatively light and comfortable for extended listening.

The main shell follows an organic ergonomic form intended to provide stable contact in the ear, while the multi-faceted faceplate uses precisely machined surfaces to create the distinctive geometric visual language associated with Astell&Kern.

Astell&Kern × Effect Audio Cable

CLARUS is supplied with a custom-specification Astell&Kern × Effect Audio Ares S Lite cable. It uses UP-OCC pure-copper Litz conductors in a 24 AWG four-wire dual-geometric construction and connects to the earphones through standard 0.78 mm 2-pin connectors.

The detachable connection also allows the cable to be replaced or upgraded in the future if required.

AZLA SednaEarfit SE2000 Ear Tips

Astell&Kern also collaborated with AZLA for the supplied SednaEarfit SE2000 ear tips. Manufactured from KCC medical-grade silicone, the tips are provided in six sizes — SS, S, MS, M, ML and L — helping users achieve a secure fit and effective acoustic seal.

Developed with Astell&Kern Reference Systems

CLARUS was developed and voiced using Astell&Kern reference playback systems and tuned together with the flagship SP4000T digital audio player. Its tuning focuses on maintaining clarity and balance rather than deliberately emphasising individual frequency regions, allowing detail, space and tonal character in the recording to remain intact.
