Focal Aria Evo X Center is the dedicated center channel speaker for the Aria Evo X range, designed to reproduce dialogue, vocals and front-channel effects with exceptional clarity and natural tonal balance. Particular attention has been paid to matching its timbre with the other Aria Evo X loudspeakers, helping create a coherent soundstage as voices and effects move across the front channels of a home cinema system.
Its 2-way bass-reflex design combines two 6.5-inch Flax bass/midrange drivers with Focal’s TAM tweeter. Focal recommends the Aria Evo X Center for rooms from approximately 20 m² and a listening distance of around 3 metres.
Clear and Natural Dialogue
The two 6.5-inch bass/midrange drivers use Focal’s patented Flax sandwich cones. High-quality French flax fibres are placed between two thin layers of fiberglass, creating a diaphragm that combines low mass, high rigidity and effective internal damping.
This construction gives voices excellent intelligibility and a natural tonal character, particularly important for a center channel speaker that reproduces most dialogue and a substantial part of the front soundstage in a home cinema system.
TMD Suspension for Greater Midrange Neutrality
Both Flax drivers incorporate Focal’s Tuned Mass Damper (TMD) suspension. Carefully positioned damping elements stabilise the surround and reduce unwanted resonances in the critical midrange region.
The result is cleaner articulation and improved neutrality, allowing voices, music and effects to remain precise even during dense and highly dynamic movie soundtracks.
TAM Tweeter with Wide Horizontal Dispersion
High frequencies are reproduced by Focal’s 1-inch aluminium/magnesium TAM tweeter. Its M-shaped inverted dome combines low mass with high rigidity, while the dedicated waveguide improves horizontal directivity and helps create a wider and more stable sound image.
A decompression chamber behind the tweeter limits disturbances caused by rear waves, contributing to greater clarity and smooth, detailed treble reproduction.
Rigid Cabinet and Dual Rear Ports
The Aria Evo X Center uses an ultra-rigid MDF cabinet with non-parallel side panels. This construction helps reduce internal resonances and unwanted vibrations, providing the drivers with a stable mechanical environment and preserving clarity at higher listening levels.
Two rear bass-reflex ports help limit dynamic compression and allow the bass/midrange drivers to reproduce low frequencies with greater freedom and impact.
Designed for Aria Evo X Home Cinema
The Aria Evo X Center is designed to integrate seamlessly with the other loudspeakers in the Aria Evo X family. Combined with Aria Evo X floorstanding or bookshelf speakers, Aria SR900 surround speakers and the SUB 1000F subwoofer, it forms the basis of a powerful and tonally coherent multichannel system.
Refined Aria Evo X Design
The cabinet combines a leather-effect front panel with a choice of Black High Gloss, Prime Walnut and Moss Green High Gloss finishes. A removable magnetic grille maintains the clean and elegant appearance of the speaker in both dedicated cinema rooms and living spaces.
