Focal Aria Evo X N°3 is a 3-way floorstanding loudspeaker designed to combine impressive dynamics with a refined and relatively slim cabinet. Compared with the Aria Evo X N°2, it adds a third 6.5-inch Flax woofer, increasing low-frequency authority and dynamic capability while maintaining a modest footprint.

Its highly linear presentation makes the N°3 equally compelling for serious stereo listening and ambitious home cinema systems. Focal recommends it for rooms from approximately 25 m², with a listening distance of around 3 to 4 metres.

Three Flax Woofers for Greater Dynamics

Three 6.5-inch bass drivers use Focal’s patented Flax sandwich cone technology. High-quality French flax fibres are positioned between two thin layers of fiberglass, creating a diaphragm that combines low mass, high rigidity and effective internal damping.

The additional woofer gives the N°3 greater low-frequency impact and dynamic headroom than the N°2 while preserving the speed and articulation required for precise music reproduction.

Dedicated Flax Midrange with TMD Suspension

A separate 6.5-inch Flax midrange driver reproduces the critical vocal and instrumental range. Its Tuned Mass Damper (TMD) suspension uses carefully positioned damping elements to stabilise the surround and reduce unwanted resonances.

This technology helps maintain excellent neutrality and articulation through the midrange, giving voices and instruments a natural tonal character and convincing presence.

TAM Tweeter with Wide Dispersion

High frequencies are handled by Focal’s 1-inch aluminium/magnesium TAM tweeter. Its M-shaped inverted dome combines low moving mass with high rigidity, while a dedicated waveguide improves horizontal dispersion and helps create a wide, stable stereo image.

A decompression chamber behind the tweeter reduces disturbances caused by rear radiation, contributing to smooth, detailed treble and excellent harmonic balance.

Powerflow Multi-Port Bass System

The Aria Evo X N°3 uses Focal’s Powerflow bass-reflex system to combine deep low-frequency extension with strong dynamics and reduced compression. The multi-port arrangement allows the bass drivers to operate freely even during demanding musical and cinema passages.

With a frequency response extending to 39 Hz at ±3 dB and 32 Hz at -6 dB, the N°3 provides convincing bass weight while retaining excellent control and definition.

Rigid Cabinet with a Slim Footprint

An ultra-rigid MDF cabinet with non-parallel side panels helps minimise internal standing waves and unwanted vibration. This creates a stable mechanical platform for the drivers and contributes to the loudspeaker’s neutral and precise presentation.

Despite using three dedicated bass drivers, the N°3 remains only 29.4 cm wide, making it easier to integrate into living spaces than its substantial acoustic performance might suggest.

High Sensitivity and Amplifier Flexibility

With a sensitivity of 92 dB, nominal impedance of 8 ohms and recommended amplifier power of 40 to 300 watts, the Aria Evo X N°3 can work with a wide range of quality amplification while retaining enough dynamic capability for larger listening spaces.

Distinctive Aria Evo X Design

The cabinet combines a leather-effect front panel with Black High Gloss, Prime Walnut or Moss Green High Gloss finishes. A removable magnetic grille maintains the clean appearance of the loudspeaker while allowing the distinctive Flax drivers to remain visible when desired.
