The Sonus Faber Olympica I G3 brings the craftsmanship, advanced acoustic technology and natural musical character of the Olympica G3 collection to a refined two-way bookshelf loudspeaker. Compact in form yet rich in presence, it is designed to deliver clarity, depth and emotional expression in intimate and medium-sized listening spaces.

Its sculptural lute-shaped cabinet combines hand-finished natural wood, solid aluminium and leather, reflecting Sonus Faber’s distinctive approach to Italian loudspeaker design. Advanced driver technology derived from the flagship Suprema system allows the Olympica I G3 to reproduce voices and instruments with exceptional transparency, natural tonal balance and precise spatial definition.

Two-Way Standmount Design

The Olympica I G3 uses a two-way acoustic configuration consisting of a 28 mm DAD™ Arrow Point extended-frequency silk-dome tweeter and a 165 mm Camelia paper-cone midwoofer with a copper cap.

A carefully developed crossover operating at 2300 Hz integrates the two drivers while preserving coherent phase behaviour and a smooth transition between the midrange and high frequencies.

DAD™ Arrow Point Silk-Dome Tweeter

The 28 mm tweeter incorporates Sonus Faber’s DAD™ — Damped Apex Dome — technology. The Arrow Point element controls the central apex of the silk dome, reducing unwanted movement and improving high-frequency precision.

This design provides smooth, extended and highly detailed treble reproduction, revealing subtle harmonics, ambience and spatial information without introducing excessive brightness or listening fatigue.

Camelia Paper-Cone Midwoofer

The 165 mm Camelia driver was originally developed for the Sonus Faber Suprema system. Its distinctive non-circular diaphragm takes inspiration from the natural geometry of the camellia flower.

The irregular shape helps reduce unwanted resonances while allowing the entire diaphragm surface to radiate towards the listener. The driver reproduces vocals and instruments with natural body, excellent transparency and precise articulation while also providing controlled low-frequency extension.

Stealth Ultraflex Venting

The full para-aperiodic vented enclosure incorporates Sonus Faber’s Stealth Ultraflex system. This carefully controlled port architecture manages airflow through the cabinet, reducing turbulence and unwanted noise while supporting clean and articulate bass reproduction.

The venting system also helps the loudspeaker integrate naturally into domestic listening environments, providing convincing low-frequency performance without overwhelming the room.

Lute-Shaped Cabinet

The cabinet follows Sonus Faber’s iconic lute-shaped geometry. Its curved side panels reduce parallel internal surfaces, helping to control standing waves and internal reflections that could otherwise colour the sound.

The rigid enclosure combines natural wood with solid aluminium structural elements and carefully applied leather detailing. Every material is selected for both its acoustic properties and its contribution to the loudspeaker’s distinctive visual character.

45-Degree Herringbone Wood Veneer

The cabinet is covered with a full-surface herringbone veneer pattern inspired by the design language of the Sonus Faber Stradivari. The natural wood veneer is positioned at a 45-degree angle, creating visual continuity across the curved cabinet surfaces.

The Olympica I G3 is available in two finishes: Walnut Wood and Wenge Wood. Both versions combine hand-finished natural wood with solid aluminium and leather details.

Flexible Amplifier Connection

Four high-quality binding posts provide separate connections for the high-frequency and mid-low sections. The Olympica I G3 can therefore be used with conventional single wiring, bi-wiring or bi-amping configurations.

With a nominal impedance of 4 ohms and a recommended amplifier power range of 30 to 250 watts per channel, it can be partnered with a wide selection of premium integrated and power amplifiers.

Dedicated Olympica I G3 Stands

Matching Olympica I G3 speaker stands are available separately. Constructed from aluminium and equipped with stainless-steel spikes, they position the loudspeakers at the correct listening height while providing a stable and mechanically controlled foundation.

Available finishes: Walnut Wood and Wenge Wood.
